Author Biography
David Fowler is a former history teacher and 24 year head of an Independent Secondary school Proctor Academy, Andover ,N.H.. Cloud Swallower is his first novel. Much of his time, as head of school, was spent promoting a more democratic school community, creating opportunities for experiential education, and developing a more realistic residential community through a diversification of the student body, faculty, and trustees. Within that effort, he became more connected with Native Americans. That association has enriched his life by providing a window through which to view another culture. He now lives with his wife in northern New Mexico, an area rich in Pueblo and Hispanic cultures. Those associations have impacted his view of the world and his writings.

This was identified in the 19th century by the Concord writers, Emerson and Thoreau, but never gathered as a community of thought until now. As such is seen by the expression of world view in the unique individual, flipping the pyramid of authority, to the needs expressed by the people, for ALL PEOPLES everywhere: X.
